I had the family room which was well-maintained with comfy beds. The location was marvellous in a very local area, near a supermarket and nice places to eat, the main tourist attractions and the center. Also, Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was 2 km away...
Unfortunately internet connection was weak.

The hotel is perfectly located very close to the Underground Station, next to big shopping centre (an advantage for those who are not willing to use minibar or hotel bar only). Moder facade, stylish interior in a very Spanish style, good service.
Breakfast can start earlier, say 6.00 a.m. instead of 7.00.

Just spent a weekend at Don Pio. The room was spacious, definitely felt cozy! Had easy access to the metro, which was a huge win for exploring. Only downside? A bit of noise from the atrium at night.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and stylish. The close proximity to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is a bonus for sports fans.
WiFi signal struggles to cover the whole room adequately. Some noise issues arise from limited soundproofing between rooms, impacting relaxation. Breakfast quality could use an upgrade, with the dining area lacking an inviting atmosphere.

Madrid vibes 🇪🇸
Dude, the location is just tops for catching a Real Madrid game! Spacious room, comfy bed, and the reception lady was super friendly-first impressions, you know?
The place felt a bit old-school, but it kinda adds to the charm, I guess.

Good breakfast, courteous staff with necessary language skills, not far from metro and bus routes
As with many Spanish hotels, lighting was a bit gloomy

Friendly helpful staff. The Metro is just across the road which is very useful in enabling newcomers to the city to get around. Breakfast was good and served until 11am- ideal for the lazy tourist (me).
Madrid in general has alot of traffic and you wouldn't leave the windows open at night in the Don Pio, especially if your room is at the front (thankfully ours wasn't). The open lobby/ dining room onto which all room open generates noise especially early in the morning when breakfast is being prepared and served. For the above reasons, the Don Pio would not suit a light sleeper.

As our Spanish is not good the staff was extermely helpful in making several phone calls to a car rental and taxi comany. The room was very well insulated from street noise and the location was ideal with metro station directly across the street. Breakfest was great.

We explored the nearby Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and found great restaurants across the street. The location is perfect for getting around, and the atmosphere is really inviting. Staff were super friendly.
One downside was the breakfast options, which could use a bit more variety to enhance the experience.

Really good value for money and so close to public transport system and large supermarket. We chose this location because a friend lived nearby that we were visiting, for some people though it maybe a little far out of city centre. Don't be put off by that though because metro stop is across the road and runs an excellent service.
We had room on ground floor and other guests in the public lounge area could see into our room when we opened the door.
